Exhibition Wool Diaries

For this special collaboration three designers worked with wool in the TextielLab: Borre Akkersdijk, Pauline van Dongen and Oda Pausma. A creative process that resulted in three mini collections with innovative and durable garments.

The exhibition runs from 27th April untill November 3, 2013.

New Label: iNDiViDUALS

We are proud to introduce to you our new fashion label: iNDiViDUALS. This label of the AMFI-Amsterdam Fashion Institute successfully opened the last edition of Amsterdam Fashion Week with its fourteenth collection ELEMENT, but there is more.

On the occasion of Paris Fashion Week, iNDiViDUALS collaborated with Lidewij Edelkoort to create a pop-up shop at the headquarters of Trend Union in Paris, presenting the DUALS, ROOTS and ELEMENT collections. Together they make up a triptych of stories and presenting them as such was a deserved conclusion to this chapter in the iNDiViDUALS narrative.

During our press day on the 25th of April you can check out the latest A/W 13-14 collection ELEMENT in our showroom. The items are on loan for photo shoots.

Remark: The current reality is that retailers and consumers limit their expenditure. iNDiViDUALS and AMFI have therefore decided that the A/W 13-14 ELEMENT collection is not going into production and are currently investigating the implications for the label in all its facets.

Simultaneously, the S/S 14 collection is being developed and iNDiViDUALS will present this to you in a few months.

Last Tuesday was our first bloggers event, hosted by Linda Tol from Lifestylehunters. Young bloggers worked enthusiastic on various do it yourself workshops and learned a lot about the technical details of blogging, all with help of professionals. It was a very succesful evening!

Today, our first bloggersevent #CreamprDIY takes place. It’s all about Do-It-Yourselfs. Through workshops, bloggers learn everything about the participating labels.

They can customize VanHaren shoes, a Hans Anders trend specialist tells about the coolest SS2013-eyewear trends and they can create a very own Fashionology skull bracelet. Also Jovanna, co-founder of Kiboots, and fashion designer Winde Rienstra will be present for a meet & greet or interview.

By participating in the Style contest, bloggers can win a complete outfit. They have to create their own favorite look, will be advised by fashion stylist Maartje van den Broek and will be photographed by an international catwalk photographer. The three bloggers with the coolest looks wins!

There will also be a technical team present. Webdesigner Daan Janssen will give a lot of tips on improving your blog and lifestyle journalist Cintha Rood will tell the girls all about media and writing the best articles.

New store in town: Smaak Amsterdam

Last Thursday was a tasty evening, Smaak Amsterdam opened their doors in the nicest street of Amsterdam, the Utrechtsestraat. Accompanied by delicious cocktails from the Fabulous Shaker boys, snacks and beats from DJ Sunny everybody could enjoy the SS13 collection. Fans of the brand, Anna Drijver, Tess Milne and Liza Sips were present as well.

VL92 at JeneverFestival Amsterdam

The fourth edition of JeneverFestival starts upcoming weekend March 16-17. It’s the first time the festival attends Amsterdam. The program is all about jenever and their different types and brands. There will be master classes, workshops and of course lots of tastings! VL92 is also present with delicious gin&tonics, so buy your ticket and go!
